JUNIOR Programme

Baby
Steps

Baby steps - very young children aged 4-7

This is a two hour a day fun-filled programme for toddlers and young children taught entirely in English from day 1.

This unique method builds on children's natural ability to absorb spoken language, through singing and playing, repetitive hearing and positive reinforcement. Classes offer a fun, relaxing environment where children can pick up English with the same ease as they learn their mother tongue.

We use a variety of methods which are suitable for young learners like making arts and crafts, playing games, carrying out simple experiments. We also use the Jolly Phonics method for teaching the alphabet.

Young Learners - young children aged 8-12

This course aims at improving student’s understanding of written and spoken English and enhance student’s ability in using the language. Students will feel more confident to speak and write in English by the end of the course (minimum 2 weeks and up to 6 weeks) and they can sit an exam* and receive an official certificate should they want to.

*Cambridge English: Young Learners is a series of fun, motivating English language tests, aimed at children in primary and lower-secondary education. There are three activity-based tests – Starters, Movers and Flyers. This gives students a clear path to improve in English.

A Cambridge English: Preliminary (PET) qualification shows that you have mastered the basics of English and now have practical language skills for everyday use.

A Cambridge English: First (FCE) qualification proves you have the language skills to live and work independently in an English-speaking country or study on courses taught in English.

IELTS: IELTS is an important test of academic English and is used by many universities around the world as an entry requirement.

ADULT English

Cambridge Exams: All Adult English classes at LSE are broadly based on the “communicative” Cambridge Examinations syllabus; this means that even a short course at LSE will provide General English that forms the basis of Cambridge exams. In the afternoon classes, the focus is on skills and examination technique in addition to language.

Why Limassol?

Limassol is on the southern coast of Cyprus and the most cosmopolitan city on the island with a population of 177.000. It is the second largest city in Cyprus after Nicosia which is the capital city. Limassol is one of the safest cities in Europe and it’s extremely popular with tourists. Limassol has been ranked by Trip Advisor as the 3rd up-and-coming destination in the world, in its Top 10 Traveler’s Choice Destinations on the Rise.

Limassol was built between two ancient cities, Amathus and Kourion, and during Byzantine rule it was known as Neapolis (new town). Limassol's historical centre is located around its medieval Limassol Castle and the Old Port. Tourists and locals can visit many archaeological sites and museums and they have a wide variety of restaurants and cafes to choose from. They can also enjoy swimming and water sports literally round the year as the island is an idyllic Mediterranean destination with sunshine and hot weather 300 out of 365 days of the year.
